About Us

So what is this place anyway? This place is where three real life friends post their doll artwork. Basically, a doll is just like a paper doll only on the computer. You start out with a "base" (a body with no hair or clothes- like a barbie doll), and you have fun putting outfits on top. It's a fun little hobby that we have come to love. Of course, there is more to dolling than just... dolling. There is a large community of dollers with which to exchange ideas and artwork.

Here you will find the dolls of Lithriel and Galadnilien, and perhaps if we poke and prod enough, Megilhilrile too. ;) We were friends back in the good old high school days. The site launched in 2003, with mainly Lord of the Rings dolls to display. After a while, we moved our stuff to Silindor.com but the Lord of the Rings screen names stuck.

So why do you guys share a website? Don't most dollers have their own? Good question. Well, it worked out nicely to share a website in high school because of certain circumstances. Now our resources and dolls have been associated so strongly with the Silindor identity it would fracture everything we have built to split us.

Having more than one web mistress has had it's advantages too. When one doller would go inactive, the other would maintin the site and keep it up. This kept us from hiatus status many a time. Also, we all contribute to judging our contests.
